With exceptional culture. Bursting with resources. Discovered by few. Mysterious for the rest of the world. The Autonomy of Nagorno-Karabakh tells the most interesting story of the collapsed USSR.
After many travels along Karabakh’s roads and trails, living with locals and discovering the places nobody traveled before, I slept in the middle of bombed villages, crossed guerillas paths, walked between mines and spoke with the proud inhabitants who are handling this place.
It situated between empires, influenced by occupations , survived the Mongolian, Persian, Turks and the Soviet period, the Black mountainous garden of Nagorno-Karabakh is located in the middle of the most complicated area in the Caucasian Mountains.
Even though it is one of the most forgotten destinations in the world, Nagorno-Karabakh mountains are proud like its people!
